The TYL Rotary Gas Flow Meter is specifically designed for reliable and accurate gas volume measurement, suitable for both fiscal and in-plant measurement purposes. This meter utilizes the principle of positive displacement to directly measure gas volume.

Applications

The TYL meter is applicable for measuring combustible gases of the first, second, and third gas families, such as natural gas, town gas, propane, butane, and others. It is also suitable for purified and dried biogas, as well as other inert and non-aggressive gases.

Its applications include residential and office buildings, as well as commercial and industrial plants. The meter complies with all legal requirements and EC directives approved according to the European requirements of EN12480:2002/A1:2006.

Operating Principle

The meter operates with two rotating impellers mounted in a single housing, featuring one inlet and one outlet. The two impellers are coupled using synchronizing gears. When gas flows, the impellers rotate without touching one another and propel a gas volume to the outlet, which is defined by the cyclic volume. One rotation of the system corresponds to a defined gas volume. The impeller revolutions are transferred to the mechanical index via a reducing gear and a magnetic coupler.
