The AD-61 Globe Valve is engineered both to modulate (regulate the flow rate) and isolate fluid flow within a pipeline. It operates through the movement of a disc (petal) perpendicular to a seat. The flow path inside the valve body is contoured, forcing the fluid to change direction, which creates deliberate resistance. This internal design, achieved through the investment casting process for the valve body, allows for excellent throttling capability—a key advantage of the globe valve over the gate valve. 

• Outstanding Throttling Capability: The primary strength of the AD-61 is its ability to accurately control the gas flow rate. Its internal structure ensures minimal wear on the seat and disc, even when operating in partial flow (throttling) conditions.
• Quicker Operation: This valve offers faster opening and closing times compared to gate valves, due to the relatively shorter travel distance of the disc between the fully open and fully closed positions.
• Multi-Directional Application: Although typically installed with flow entering beneath the seat for ease of repacking, the globe valve can function effectively regardless of the flow direction, though its design is optimized for regulation.
• Corrosion-Resistant Construction: Featuring primary materials like CF8M (Stainless Steel) for the body and SS316 for the disc and stem, the AD-61 provides reliable corrosion resistance, ensuring a long service life in gaseous environments.
• Solid Pressure and Temperature Ratings: The valve is rated for a 200 PSI (PN16) Pressure Rating and a -25oC to +180oC Working Temperature. Sealing materials such as PTFE (for gaskets and stem packing) ensure seal integrity within the specified operational range.
