The TBQSe Quantometer is an advanced turbine meter designed for the operational volume measurement of gases such as natural gas, propane, butane, air, carbon dioxide (CO2), and other non-aggressive gases. The primary feature of this device is its nine-digit electronic index.

The TBQSe operates as a volume flow meter: the flow of gas causes the turbine rotor to rotate. The gas stream is accelerated and directed onto the smooth-running aluminum rotor. The number of rotations is proportional to the measured gas volume, and the frequency of rotations is proportional to the actual gas flow.

In the TBQSe, the rotation is transmitted via a magnetoresistance sensor from the gas pressurized area to the electronic index located in the atmospheric environment. The CPU uses the high-frequency signal from the sensor to calculate the gas flow and volume under operating conditions.

The TBQSe Quantometer is equipped with integrated electronic features, making it a high-performance solution for gas measurement:

• Advanced Electronic Index: Features a standard nine-digit electronic index head, which is made of Aluminum.
• Integral Volume Corrector (Optional): An optional integral electronic volume corrector function (AGA NX-19) is available. This allows the calculation of gas flow and volume under standard conditions.
• External P & T Connection: The TBQSe is designed to accept one external pressure and one external temperature transmitter installed directly into the meter for accurate volume correction. If external sensors are not used, fixed factors will be utilized for AGA NX-19 calculations.
• Versatile Communication Options: It is standardly equipped with an RS 485 or M-Bus serial interface and one high frequency (HF) as well as one low frequency (LF) pulser.
• Analog Output (Optional): A configurable 4 to 20 mA analog signal is available when an external power supply is connected.
• Power Supply: Powered by a Lithium battery with a calculated life time of 5 years under standard conditions, with an optional external power supply.
• Data Storage: Equipped with a 512 kB non-volatile EPROM to save 1500 records and all parameters.
• Easy Parameterization: Parameterization is possible using the supplied PC-based software (HMI).
• Safety Certification: Approved according to ATEX / IECEx Ex-Zone 1; Ex ia II CT4 Ga.
• Flow Rate Range: Handles flow rates from 25 to 1600m3/h.
• Flexible Installation: The index head can be rotated by 180o for horizontal and vertical mounting.
